This happened to be a great random pitstop while driving through MO. Excellent fried chicken and salad bar with great prices.

Best buffet I've had in several, several years.🫠They had fried chicken, homemade mashed potatoes, fried okra,and the very..very. Best salad bar I have had in years.i made a salad And then ended up.Covering it with all these fresh vegetables, radishes, green peppers, onions.etc.. everything was just so fresh. I was staying down at a cabin in the middle of nowhere with a friend,
And his local friend took us there. This place is fairly big, and it's a very small town but people drive from all over to go to it. Super friendly there. They have other things besides chicken on other days. I forgot what the second meat was. If you are heading down to Missouri.
Just need a road trip, Make sure you check this place out. I think it was only around $12 a person. And did I mention they had about 20 different kinds of homemade desserts alsos There are so many great lakes to fish around there too.. Which was actually the purpose of the trip. HAHA and I managed to bring back about 150 pounds of pretty rocks 😁😇 that I collected for my new hosta garden going in.😉

The salad, fried chicken and green beans were so freaking tasty. We will definitely be returning. Our waitress was on the he ball and the price was awesome. I paid $27 total for my husband and myself.

This is the 5th time I have taken my oldest Daughter & family there in the past 6-8 months. Been great every time. Been busy every time. The crew kept up on everything. Food is always good. Hot & Fresh. But I wish they would have their cabbage all the time. Soooo good. But I know how that goes. Got to swap out sometimes or the season.

This restaurant in "the middle of nowhere" may not look like much when you drive by, but I PROMISE you will be surprised. Don's serves THE BEST fried chicken I have ever had, and I've had fried chicken in about all 50 states. I grew up in the area and our family would go to Don's after church on Sunday and we would alllllll eat as much as we could. The mashed potatoes and gravy are spectacular and the stuffing is unbelievably delicious.
10/10 would recommend stopping at Don's if you ever get the chance!

Absolutely amazing food, service and price. The fried catfish on Friday is worth a trip in! Some of the best sweet tea I've had. Always great.

I guess im not as country as everyone else. From the reviews I expected some special completely tasty recipe on the chicken that made it amazing. It tasted like normal fried chicken which isnt bad but im not going bonkers to say its the greatest ever lile other reviews. I guess this is expected from this area considering the reviews of other places in this area for the exact same food. I would only make the long drive if smoked hot wings, smoked ribs, spicy chicken, lamb or such is added to the buffet which would be awesome because all the restaurants around here serve all the same food and its just so old. We had the buffet.

Don's always delivers good home style buffet. Just stop eating before you can't waddle out. Sunday lunch isn't as crowded as you'd think since they open extra seats. I'm probably going a few times a month. For $25~ for 2 people it's hard to beat
