Beware. By far, the least child-friendly library I have ever experienced. If you have young children, be prepared for an over-abundance of “rules” that do not pertain to safety and are enforced by librarians without compassion & warmth. Librarians do not greet children, encourage learning, or make a comfortable space for families to visit. Choose another of the many libraries in the Chicagoland area for your visit if you are looking for a child-friendly space.

One of the best libraries in around lake county. It's been close to a decade we moved to this small and beautiful town and library was one of the few places we could take kids out and they had so many activities that they did not have to go elsewhere.

This was our 3rd event bringing escape rooms and Remote Control Cars to the patrons of the Library. Our host Cristina has always been a pleasure to work with. They have amazing facilities and truly care about their community engagement. 5 stars for the Deerfield Library.

Excellent, large quiet study area! Has comfy seating, normal seating with desks, ample lighting, and all the patrons respect the silence of the area. Additional seating is positioned around the library for those who require less silence.
The library has a great assortment of books, movies, and games. It is well organized and the librarians are helpful and friendly. 5/5 would recommend.

This library is a great local library where the librarians are amazing, good resources, helpful, booky and fun! This is a great place to hang out with activities, a new STEM/craft lab, thousands of books for all ages, and a good place to do work/school work too. This library also has great seating and feels very cozy too. I totally recommend this library over any other!

The place and environment is amazing overall. Study rooms are available and they even give u pens n erasers incase you wanna write on the boards while studying in the rooms. Quiet room is cozy. But lot of thumping from running and playing from the floor above where kids play area is. Bit disappointing when it comes to vending machine. No proper coffee station is available and also limited space to have food. Except for that books are plenty, staff is super friendly. There is also a cell area by the fireplace overlooking parking and playgrounds, which is my personal favorite place.
