Came in for supplies while camping at the city park during a bike ride from Kansas City to St Louis. They have beer, ice, and a small grocery selection. I asked about firewood. They didn't have any, but she told me to give her 20 minutes and she'd have it figured out. Went back up the street to my campsite. Moments later a local guy drove up and said "I heard you need some wood! I'll be right back!". I've been all over the country bike touring and I have had plenty of memorable experiences in small town America. But my time in Chilhowee always makes stands out.

It is a nice place. The owners offer a decent selection of commonly needed items and basic convenience store items. They offer a nice variety in such a small area. The employees are always kind and friendly.

What a great place! Definitely stop there if you're riding your bike on the Rock Island Spur. It's so much better than a Casey's or something similar. This store has a nice area with tables to sit and eat at, a clean bathroom, and friendly people working there. Highly recommended.

I stopped by the corner store two times this weekend, once on my bike ride from Pleasant Hill and once on my way home. Both times, I found the store open and attended by one of the owners. She was very courteous and accommodating both times. She even filled one of my water bottles with ice and fresh water for free. There is a public restroom there and a small, air conditioned dining area. What a great resource for Rock Island riders. Just head into town from the trail head about two blocks. Take a left by the church and the store will be on your left about a block down.

Awesome place to stop if you're a bikern, which I am. Love too make it a regular stop when I'm in the area. Please try it. They really cater to bikers and runners along the Rock Island Spur Trail. Love it!!!!
