The course was in tremendous shape, but with all the rain the area has had, that's no surprise. I still want to give the grounds crew their certain due. This place was packed and it really can't be an easy task to maintain all that has to be done on the course. So five 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 for that for sure! My friend and I had some really good shots on some pretty challenging holes and would definitely go back to this place. One more thing is that even though it was very crowded on the day We played, the pace of play was still exceptional. Thanks to the group ahead of Us for that. Lol!

This overall was a good round. I was pleased by the staff and the speed of play. The older woman who runs the grill by the front was very kind to us and was delightful. Would be higher review if the bunkers were a little nicer. But I was pleased with how close this is to Chicago and the price was a little much at 48 but not to upset about that. I would play again l

Interesting place to play. It has the roots of a beautiful country club course but maintenance has gone downhill. The empty sand traps are bearable, but if they can just fix the bumpy greens this place would be a gem.

One of the most poorly maintained courses I’ve seen in years. Bunkers are overgrown with weeds and grass, and where there isn’t grass, it’s hard clay. The tee boxes are covered by weeds. There is no pace of play management. I’m currently through ten holes, and we’ve been playing for 3 hours and 15 minutes. We couldn’t tee off until 12 minutes after our tee time due to it being backed up. I recommend avoiding this course at all costs.

This club is an absolute dump. It's worse than some park district courses. You can tell it used to be nice but they've completely let it go. It used to be private, but it went public because the older members were dying off or retiring and they didn't replace with younger members. Then when Covid hit, they didn't have the restaurant income and it killed them. At this point, the restaurant/club house is literally an ABANDON building and people are not allowed in there, according to the state. All they have is a small pro shop left and a cranky old lady working a grill by the first tee. She says she's been there for 39 years. The pictures on the web are so old and are nothing like the reality of what it truly looks like. If you must go there in person, wait until you see how broken down everything is. You can't even get through to the actual club on the phone, only an answering service. The tees are covered with weeds and the sand traps are completely over run with wild grass and weeds. Reminds me of waste bunkers. I'll never go back and I think it's only a matter of time before this place is bulldozed and scraped.

It’s a shame that over the years this Donald Ross has been let go. At this point, they are squeezing out any money they can before what feels like a sale of the property. $70-80 for a tee time was too high. Came with cart, but had to wait til 10 minutes after our tee time to get a cart. Staff was kind and did their best to accommodate given what they had.

Clubhouse mostly a ghost town. Beat up tee boxes, lots of weeds, all bunkers overgrown with grass or have no sand. Most greens in OK shape but slow. 9th green almost completely dead. Pace of play on the slower end. Won’t return.

For the price point this is one of my favorite tracks near Chicago. Greens are in great shape and the course lay out is a lot of fun. The manager Ed was very friendly and staff was a pleasure to be around. I highly advise giving this course a shot!
