The lifeguards here are terrible they never watch the deep end instead they watch black people, The pool is dirty, it’s never cleaned. The bathrooms are disgusting. The lifeguards in the front booth will ignore you when u first come end if THEY ARE THERE. They never paying attention or not there, anyone can literally walk right in. I have never heard of any lifeguard saving anyone here. Definitely don’t leave ur kids alone.

Love to walk here. Nice walking paths- level for the most part, nice views & the areas surrounding the ball fields & playground have light posts on the walking paths. They have a nice playground & dog park as well & plenty of parking. Police station is adjacent to the park. Highly recommended.

Don't pay to reserve the pavillion. We did and 4 other parties were already there when we got there and they said they didn't pay and it was first come first serve. I tried calling but no answer. Someone took our money for nothing. Also, the trashcans were overflowing and spilling out onto the ground.

What a beautiful day at Calhoun Recreation Park, the walking and biking trails are wonderfully designed as to take you through the wooded areas along side of the creek and back around through the fields of grass. Just a very serine place. Loved it.

Definitely a great experience so far. The basketball gym is great, and everyone seems to be getting along good. There is also a pool. The tennis court is filled with good players, and you can have lessons there, and they pride themselves on being USTA members. The walking track, the baseball field, and some people training in football... I come down from South GA and have not seen a positive community environment such as this one. Maybe its the people that make it, but Calhoun recreation department is a beauty to be in, and best of all, its free.

Nice fields. Taken care of but the dust is really heavy and they don’t water the fields in between. Make sure your kids wear glasses. The trees were a great relief from the heat. They do need a fan in the bathroom the air is so hot and stagnant it makes you reluctant to go in.

Love going for walks with my dog. There are several different playgrounds, tennis courts, a walking trial, basketball, baseball, football and more. You can catch some great sunsets too. And sight see, theres a little creek running through the park. It's a wonderful place to take pictures as you can see.

I'd like to update my review. I took a visit a few days ago and I could not be any unhappy about the current condition of the newest walking trail around the pond.

Its been neglected for the longtime, its been taken over by weeds and over growth. You can no longer enjoy views of the pond , nor see the birds around the pond.

I'm 5'5 and it's taller than me. Why did all that money be put towards a project that no one's willing to upkeep. There's no place to do walks in Calhoun. You'd think it would be fairly easy to manage a few acers of land.

Oh but the football area is like out of a magazine. Couldn't be any nicer. Too bad I don't play. So I could ymenjoy where all the funds are going.

Please clean up and keep up the walking areas. Less mosquitos and bugs would be pleasant.
