Great place. Very nice atmosphere. I get kids lunches here often for my 2nd and 4th graders at Wilmot. They love ham and cheese swirls, organic yogurts with fruits and Jenni’s ice cream is the best. Very thankful to the owners for keeping this place so clean, modern furnished, food delicious and organic!

Cafe De Oro is by far the best coffee shop in the area. I say this after visiting all of them.

It is family-owned and you feel as though you're a guest in their home. When they give you your coffee, you also feel a warmth, kindness and positive energy that uplifts your entire day. I've told them, I don't just go for the coffee.

The coffee is fresh roasted and seriously the smoothest most delicious coffee of any other coffee shop. I love how they remember my preferences and my coffee is always perfect how I love it.

The atmosphere is comfy with couches, chairs, tables and outdoor seating. It's that place to have coffee with a friend, have a business meeting, or just to chill with a book when you want to get out. I often pick up coffee here and go to the trails at Ryerson Woods where I'll sit by the river and take in the nature.

I cannot highly recommend this coffee shop enough. It's seriously, not exaggerating, the best coffee shop in our area.

My first time here was cool. I forgot to ask if they would be getting news papers. Perfect service. The staff should get raises. Professional service to customers is unimaginably hard to come by these days, so it need not be overlooked, nor underappreciated.

Good cafe, the coffee tastes good (little on the less warmer side though but taste is good). They run out of food quickly as it's made in small batches. The staff can be a little more friendly I believe. Apart from that a good alternative to the big chain brands.

Update: 8.2024 - the price of coffee has gone up significantly. 7.29 USD for Regular Mocha. Used to be a lot less. At this price Starbucks is cheaper.

Omg such an absolutely adorable coffee spot! Let's start with the interior, warm and inviting atmosphere, couches available to lounge. They sell Jeni's ice cream here too! We started with a:

chocolate croissant - crispy, flakey on the outside, warm, soft and gooey chocolate inside.

Orange Cranberry scone - first scone I had that was not dry in the slightest. Moist and delicious.

Banana chocolate chip bread - dense, moist and delicious

Hamd and cheese swirl - crunchy exterior, soft inside, and the salt from the cheese and ham compliment the pastry perfectly.

20 oz latte, cold, with almond milk and sugar free caramel - very very good coffee and happy to see sugar free options

20 oz mocha, cold, while milk and sugar-free hazelnut - perfection!!

Definitely give this place a try!!

We love this place! Fantastic coffee and lots of healthy food options (as well as non healthy options 😁). They have a nice selection of home made pastries, Jeni's ice cream, fresh pressed juice, teas, sandwiches, yogurts, etc. Everything is high quality and clean. I have food sensitivities and so I appreciate their organic and gluten-free options. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They have a drive through and some outdoor seating. Although I wish they'd expand the outdoor options.

This place is amazing!! My new favorite coffee shop around Chicago 🙂 The coffee tasted great!!! Not watered down at all, had a nice rich taste. The atmosphere is warm, bright, and relaxing. The music wasn’t too loud as I was able to hold a conversation with my sister without hollering over the music. Had a great afternoon relaxing here and studying. Would highly recommend!! Also the couches were really comfy
