Very disappointed in the sportsmanship displayed by the parents and the coach’s of the youth teams on multiple levels. I also am let down by the lack of accountability and oversight from the DCDLS

So i can't seem to understand why we were not notified about the day for trophy handouts. It was paid ahead of time. We gave our cell numbers to multiple people within the team as far as coaches and volunteer parents. Even the main rec office has our number and still no call or text. My son had his first experience in sports and didnt get to enjoy the most rewarding part with his team. Definitely lacking communication. To top it all off didn't even get told that the trophy has been sitting somewhere for a week after the event until we found out ourselves.

Where to begin... coaches don't take the "children's safety" seriously, bad sportsmanship, no accountability, parents bad behavior, awful representation fron traveling teams.. is horrible all the way around. But all goes from the top down...

it sucks they kick u out for playing basketball when there is three other gyms for the school who as one new gym and a old one they dont use

Linda Sims at BCDLS is truly heaven sent. She run the Summer Camp like a well oiled machine. She is kind, truly loves all the kids that come through the door. One of my sons has ASD (which adds behavioral challenges) and instead of turning us away, she welcomed us with open arms. I’m so grateful to her!

I am appalled by the unkind sportsmanship that was displayed by butts county 14U Rockies at our game last night. The coach was encouraging the boys to get hit with balls so they can get an easy walk. The coaches were antagonizing the bad behavior displayed by the players. The players were screaming "make autism noises to distract them". One child even ran up to one of the Monroe county players and said record this as they did a in your face dance in front of them and then ran off laughing. Monroe county teaches their players to be respectful to have great sportsmanship and this was just totally going against and discouraging our boys. I've heard great things about other butts county teams but this coach and these players were very rude and disrespectful.
