I filled out the passport application here and Grettel was very rude during the process. It was my first time applying and she didn’t want to answer my questions, she was very rude and condescending. She also was inexperienced with processing the application stating she only processed applications maybe twice ( I paid $35.00 processing fee). I tried to talk nice to her however she was being VERY unprofessional because I didn’t fill out the application before I arrived. While scheduling my appointment I asked may I print the application when I arrive and I was told yes it’s no problem. I arrived an 1 hour and 15 minutes before my appointment and that irritated her because I didn’t have it fill out. I asked may she see me early before my appointment time due to no one being serviced she stated she had to asked her supervisor and she wasn’t busy at all. I almost left without signing my application because you have to sign it in front of them. I had to catch the error and walk back in to sign. She gave me a fake apology and acted like she cared. However she was rude and acted unprofessional the whole time because the application was not filled out. I arrived early for a reason to ask questions and to make sure I was filling it out correctly as a first timer. Please hire experienced people who have patience and willing to answer questions without attitude and who can communicate effectively and professionally.

This library is on my regular travel route, making it convenient & I attend events there, bookstore is good, lots of quiet spaces & the “forest” at the north end of the parking lot is lovely

The employees are rude and unprofessional nothing but a bunch of petty people I was just in a room doing my school work and I closed the door HALF way bc some people are loud but no that is not good enough for these people three times they came and opened the door without even saying anything to me great place bad workers

Fantastic library! They really know how to pick books, especially by happily surprised, traveling authors later just happening to visit nearby from Bloomingdale, Illinois (although IL library card won't work)! Fascinating read: "George Washington's Liberty Key." : )

Super disappointed in the attitude of the man running Toddler Time at 11am today.

I arrived at 11:02am, 2 minutes late with my 2 children in tow (absolutely my fault that I was late). However, the doors were locked and he had a minor attitude when he let us in. I get it, we interrupted the program. I apologized for being late and we quietly took our seats. Not 30 seconds later, another mom arrived with 2 toddlers and apologized for being late. His only response was to look at the clock, roll his eyes dramatically, and make a nasty face.

I understand being frustrated that people are late, but this is a TODDLER program we're talking about. He acted like it was a job interview. Based on his expectation that everyone arrive on the dot at 11am, I have serious doubts that this man has ever had to shuttle around toddlers... it's like herding cats. And the bad attitude was absolutely unnecessary.

I thought about speaking up in the program but decided I did not want to make a scene in front of a group of toddlers. So instead, I took my kiddos and left a few minutes later. Noone wants to be in a room with that type of negative energy. We came to have fun and sing songs, not be shamed by Mr. Grumpy McGrumper Pants because we were 2 minutes late.

I truly hope his day got exponentially better because he clearly started it off on a really rough foot.
