We found Bethany Diner while on vacation, and we're really glad we did. We made 2 visits during a long weekend.
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. Our server also helped us with a couple of selections during our first visit.
Each entrée was well-prepared and flavorful.
We had lunch one day and breakfast another day. Really good soup, sandwich, omelet, waffle, etc. We had no regrets.
The atmosphere can be a little loud, but that's to be expected sometimes.
Overall, Bethany Diner provided us with 2 great dining experiences. Thank you!
I am definitely planning to go back!

Stopped in this morning with a couple of friends for breakfast. We were greeted right as we walked in the door. Basic diner layout with booths along the walls and tables in the middle. There was even a bar along the back wall. We were promptly seated at a comfy booth and a waitress came by right away to take drink orders. After reviewing the menu we placed our order. We loved the old school diner vibe of the paper place mats with ads on them. Food came out fairly quickly which was great considering how busy they seemed to be at that moment. Food was delicious. I had the western omelet and a stack of pancakes. What can I say, I was hungry this morning. Both the waitress and the manager stopped by our table at different times to ask how everything was going. We said great! When we were all done, the waitress quickly cleared the table and brought our check. The price was very reasonable for everything we had. We paid at the cashier on the way out the door. We had a great experience and will definitely be back again.

I was inspired to try a dish of Scrapple Eggs Benedict here after seeing a post the other morning by a member of a scrapple enthusiast Facebook group. He posted a great photo and it was making me hungry. Now this item is not on the regular menu, they only have the traditional Eggs Benedict version listed, but the nice lady taking our order didn’t blink an eye when I made my request. BTW, she indicated the place uses RAPA scrapple cooked on a flat top vs the deep fat method some places employ when in a rush.
My biggest problem with the results of all of this was that my dish was prepared some hours after the first review & photo I’d seen. That nice smooth sauce was a bit more chunky; something one doesn’t usually associate with a hollandaise. Also my dish was about as bland as it could be. It was like the kitchen had run out of lemon juice, white wine and/or vinegar; items needed to punch up the taste of the otherwise dull yellow chunky sauce. Heck, even a bit of salt n’ pepper would have done something for the that dish & the hash brown potato’s.
My wife had a steak n’ cheese omelette w/ hash browns and she too thought that it was all way too bland, even with onions.
I’m thinking/hoping that our experience was out of character as you will notice the place otherwise enjoys relatively good ratings. Perhaps your mileage might vary. Also you will see that when folks do have issues, managers respond to follow up on line. In my case, I had opportunity to speak with folks at checking out and they were truly interested in my feedback and wanted to address my concerns. I thus only offer this review to share the impressions of the product and how great the management folks are in customer retention skills; truly fantastic as the place has a huge menu, the service was good and I wanted to like & return here. Oh, BTW, coffee was good!

EDIT: So here is a non-location related thing. Months after posting this review, I got a love note from Google asking me to add captions describing the dish. Now for real, compared to 95% of most food posts that have nothing…why in the name of cheeses and crackers did the bots not figure out my photos have captions?

I ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs to go for dinner yesterday.
The restaurant website CLEARLY states
“ served with soup or side salad and garlic bread.”
I ordered a Caesar Salad.
When I returned home i checked my receipt . I was charged $1.99 for my salad.
I returned to Bethany Diner with my receipt to inquire about the charge.
I was told by the hostess, “ only a house salad comes with the meal. The Greek and Caesar salads are extra.”
Who knew that?
They should have said something when I ordered.
I explained that the website is not that specific. She looked it up.
It says served with a SIDE SALAD!
She didn’t care. Would not refund the mistake.
NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY!
REALLY Wow!!
It’s not about the money.
It is about false or misleading advertising.
This was handled very poorly.
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ORDER.
ITS NOT WHAT THE MENU SAYS, it’s about what it doesn’t say.

I’ll think twice about going back to Bethany Diner.

We have been coming to the area for years and finally stopped here to eat. It was so good, we are here twice in 5 days! These are hands down the best home fries we have ever had, everything was made perfectly to order, and the poached eggs were done just right. We will be visiting every time we are in the area. Thank you for an amazing experience!
