Make sure you swim up and down the creek around this waterfall. So much to see. There is a little cave behind the main falls at beaver. Further down creek of beaver is a 30-40ft jump spot. Deep enough for all your wild tricks.

Our daughter just got back after hiking on a 4-day permit with 5 of her friends. She doesn't do reviews, so I will for her. Backpacking in & out requires being a reasonably fit hiker, but is more than worth the effort to prepare for it, and enjoy the hike of a lifetime. They did not hike the last stage, to the confluence of the creek & the CO River since it was recommended by the tribe not to, but it only gave them more time to explore & revisit the 5 falls.

The trek to Beaver Falls is not for the faint of heart, since there are several tricky descents that require using chains, ladders, and propped timbers (some anchored, some not) to allow for passage, but it is an absolutely magnificent sight to behold. Permits via the Havasupai Tribe website are needed to visit this area if trekking through Supai, and it requires a hike of around 12.5 miles from the Hualapai Hilltop trailhead to reach this location (although it can also be reached the other direction, from the confluence). Descending via Mooney Falls, visitors will cross the creek at least three times to reach Beaver, and most choose to climb about the terraced falls area upon arrival. Unrivaled natural beauty — Havasu Canyon at its best!

Falls upon falls upon falls! This place is truly majestic! The 3 mile hike to the falls is breathtaking in itself (and not from difficulty!) Well unless you’re afraid of heights or caves (you have to get down Mooney before getting on the trail.) Be sure to grab a pair of the shared gloves on your way down Mooney (you’ll need them for the wet rope chains!)

The trail starts out on the same side of the canyon but there are several places where you’ll need to cross the river and some aren’t very well marked. There’s usually a hiker or 2 that’s been before that will help you find your way.

Be sure to bring water shoes! I wore my Keens and they were perfect. Others had regular water shoes and said they got less blisters when they wore socks. My hubby changed from flip flops to dry hiking shoes several times to keep his feet dry. The water is at times waist high so be prepared to get wet! The water stays about 70 degrees all year long but boy is that cold in the fall. It’s a numbing cold that’s kind of refreshing though! It’s all worth it for the scenery at Beaver! We would’ve loved to hike to the Confluence - next time for sure!

We hiked down to Mooney around 9am (only 15 minutes without a line.) We leisurely hiked to Beaver, taking many pics along the way (including pics of the bighorn sheep! See pics for the baby!) and we arrived to Beaver around 11am. There are plenty of picnic tables throughout the trail so bring a snack or enjoy lunch in the outdoors. We made it back to Mooney before 4pm and had to wait a while to hike back up because of a line of hikers coming down (maybe to take night photography? Or get that one last pic before heading home?)

This place is packed with adventure & beauty! Make the trip!

Beaver Falls was a nice hike.. jumping to water crossing mutliple times was fun. Make sure hands free to get there. Few area were ladders so climbing it is. It was fun while it lasted. The water was so incredible. The color was just amazing. I love the little table at the top. Pretty cool and relaxing place.

My friend and I enjoyed the whole place. We love this place. Hope we can go for it next year again. Since the reservation is really tough to get the summer time.

Definitely worth the trek down to Beaver Falls. It takes some skill to navigate ladders in the terrain and you definitely should have 2 hands available. Most people left their walking sticks at camp.
