This was our first time there. Now, we will most Definitely be back this summer. Loved the ride, the few horses we saw, and the creek, So pretty. ❤️️ I agreed Not to take pictures of the horses I saw on the way there and back. Didn't want to disturb them.....

Nice quiet area. Deer, Turkey, and many song birds. Large parking lot. No trash cans, so pack out any waste. There is some poison ivy near the creek in damp soil, so be familiar with how it looks.

Large parking lot and very scenic area. No restroom. This is a state CP&W fee area. There's both a loop and an out-and-back trail here. The loop requires a water crossing; there's no bridge, and I couldn't locate anywhere to rock hop across the entire stream.

Has a larger number of visitors than you would think for as hard to find as it is. Some trails are fenced off for BLM ranching cattle. ?
Trail maps on site are vague, and some trails are marked on a map that aren't there in reality. On the other hand, there are trails in reality that aren't on the map. Beautiful views but the trails are NOT mountain bike friendly--many run with dry (or not dry) creek beds that are very rocky. Supposedly okay for horseback riding but the brush and overgrowth could make that tricky in areas, and then there are trails that even horses can't do. Beautiful remote hike to do with a friend or two. Don't go alone. There is NO cell service and rattle snakes love creek beds. I didn't see any, but other visitors warned me to be careful with my dogs. If you do go alone, take a rattle snake bite venom kit, a whistle, first aid, etc. because help will be hard to reach if you need it and it will take a long time for first responders to reach you. Despite all that, I'd still recommend going at least once because the canyon walls and Beaver Creek are beautiful, and you really do feel like you're getting away from it all.

Very pretty. Road to parking area very rugged. Made it okay with 2WD, but super bumpy.

A bit off a drive. My Civic had no trouble with the road. Appears to be more for hunters. Hiking is good If you're willing to go the distance
