Had a yummy lunch at barefoot on a Sunday. I ordered a Roquefort salad and catfish fritters (sans bread). The food came out so quickly, our waitress kept our drinks filled, and you can’t beat the prices.
My dad ordered a cheeseburger which he said was enjoyable.

Love the new location and building! Not sure how long ago they moved but we are happy with the choice! The playground next door is the perfect idea for children that don't want to sit and wait for food! Or maybe they don't want to wait for everyone to finish visiting. Either way they can play! The deck area is wonderful and provides a nice view of the river and or playground. Food was spot on and everyone loved their choices! I would definately visit again if in the area!

This was my first time at the new location and what a great experience. The food is better than I ever remember (and I'm old enough to remember going to the Barefoot barefoot 50 years ago!). The portions are really generous and the staff was super friendly. It was a nice day so we sat outside and watched the river. We will definitely be going back!

Potato wedges were really good. Got the chicken livers - they were alright. A lot better than right after they opened. But still no nasty to them. Some salt, pepper or maybe a different coating to give some taste to it would be better. They are not like the old Barefoot's livers- they were excellent!

Our family hadn't been to the Barefoot Restaurant in Hardin for years. The new owners Brian & Cathy have done a tremendous job on bringing the old Barefoot back to life. The chicken had that same crispy coating and juicy flavor as I remembered. Same great house dressing on the salad. The rest of the family had hamburgers, fries and we all split mushrooms and onion rings as appetizers. The couple next to us ordered the whole catfish and it barely fit on the dinner plate. They even have a breakfast buffet on Saturday & Sunday mornings and a pizza, pasta & salad buffet beginning at 4 pm. There is also an outdoor deck and bar overlooking the Illinois River. The perfect place to have one of their frozen signature drinks and some appetizers. The food prices are very reasonable! Take the time this weekend to drive your family through "God's Country" - Calhoun County, Illinois for some really good food. You will LOVE the New Barefoot Restaurant!

It's a great place to eat for your family or as a cozy place to go on a date!!! & There's a Large variety of yummy things on the menu!!! Fast Friendly Service, Reasonably Priced & What a beautiful View of the River Off of the Back Balcony Deck!!! I Love This Place❣️💯🙆🏼‍♀️ I've Been Going There Since I Was A little girl... My Best Friend @ The Time's Awesome Parents Use To Take Us There At least A Couple Times A Year Or More!!! I Continued Going Once I Grew Up & Was On My Own❣️💯🙋🏼‍♀️ If you Don't Already Know About The Restaurant You Should Find Out For Yourself I Love it!!!😁 I've enjoyed every visit there and there have been many times over the years!!!
There's only one more thing that I will say is if your in a hurry it's probably not the place to go because ~
It's NOT A Fast Food Restaurant!!! They serve good quality ~ real food ~ and have friendly service so if that's what counts to you then go check them out❣️💯🧏🏼‍♀️🙆🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🤩 Yummmm....

The food was good it was all you can eat crab legs service was terrible all kinds of waitress running around but no one came back to ask us if we need more crab legs or anything very pricey for not get all we could eat didn't even try to make it right when we went to pay

I wasn't pleased with the daily special, the mashed potatoes were dry and the gravy was cold as was the corn . And the fried chicken was greasy . I ordered a side salad and it cost almost $5.00 for a little bitty bowl . Not going back . I realize they have to pay for the new restaurant but they shouldn't rip off the public to do so.
