Was here for the Christmas Dinner 2024.
For $26 you get a spoonful of green beans, spoonful of macaroni and 3 very very small slices of ham that would not make a sandwich. All the food was cold and served in plastic to go containers and plastic utensils. Absolutely horrible. Only redeeming thing was we did not get food poisoning (yet)

They supposedly have a policy that you can not use business debit cards for cash advance or at least that’s what the cashier said at the cage after I was denied my money that was already debited off my account for a cash advance then they say it will go back to my account in 24-48 hours which now it has cleared 4 days later and has not been returned. I don’t know what kind of operation they run here but they are literally robbing people of their money and making up policies they seem fit for the situation it seems. I still have all my receipts and records from this and will seek my money. If they do have this supposed policy they shouldn’t let you even use the debit machine for cash advance with a business debit if they won’t let you cash it at the cage this seems like shady and deceptive practices. I would warn everyone who goes here to just be mindful that they will rip you off with different deceptive practices at their disposal.

It has changed I haven't been there in 10 years we went there based on my last visit sorry to say I made abig mistake the buffet was nothing special bacon, eggs,biscuits, and gravy, but the steak was a cheap piece of beef so tough we couldn't even chew it I complained to the sever I told her it wasn't her fault but the poor quality of beef cant be fixed, so she told the chef he sent out two more horrible pieces of cheap beef that we really couldn't cut into we won't be be back you get what you pay for

Went for pizza as one of the best flatbreads l've had plus a kalua coloda for both hubby and l. Of course, we had to touch the slots🙄
Big mistake as sucked up our $400 in less than an hour.
Noticed some machines had glitches, including one of mine during retrigger. A roll rendered free spins skipped them, then the next roll got 3 flowers again, thus 9 spins added. That machine ended up with a service call to get my .20 ticket.
I moved only for the machine next to me, constantly reliving it's last play over and over again. It required shutdown, too. Many, many more floor workers to reboot slot machines🤔

I visited Argosy Casino in Alton, Illinois for the first time for dinner at the buffet. I'm not a gambler, but we did walk around the gaming floor and played a few games. The dinner buffet was ok. There wasn't a huge selection like at other casinos, but it wasn't too bad. I was full. Walking around the gaming floor wasn't too bad either. We did play a few games. There wasn't a line for us to get the playing card and it was an easy process. I will say that I've visited other casinos in the area and this one was the smallest I've ever been too. We drove from St. Louis where the casinos are bigger, have more clubs/restaurants and much bigger buffets. The Argosy Casino is quaint and was great for us to experience being that it was my first time. We did go on an evening during the week and their still wasn't too many people there which was nice for us as we didn't have to fight through crowds. If you're looking for a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, this was a great spot. The drive in from St. Louis was amazing scenery as well from seeing the sunset over the rivers to the cute town of Alton.
