It was closed Friday afternoon. Hrs on Google were not correct. Still happy we stopped to get these pics. The vine is coyote melon. They have strong almost urine smell. They are edible but mostly animals eat them. Not very tasty.

We were going to visit the ruins as what we saw on the internet it looked very interesting. When we got on the road in, it informed us we need to get a permit we drove back to the museum to get the permit but it was closed. We’ll go back after we study the websites a little more.

Amazing cultural artifacts on displays throughout the museum, life-size wikiup still has me in awe. From the basket weaving to beadwork, learning about the lifestyle precolonization was beautiful. Photographs documenting recollection from the beginning of Fort Apache and the historical changes to the White Mountain people, Ndee. We were fortunate enough to get a tour of the surrounding area of the museum. We saw the school, stables, barracks, some homesteads and other important locations. Visiting the gift shop is a must! We are very fortunate to have cultural centers throughout this country, show your support. Thank you for keeping the Ndee alive in me, with love, a sister.

This is a very popular place to visit. The culture center was very enlightening, to what the Apache Indians believed in and how they worked. It seemed to us they had a good way of life before white man showed up.

What a beautiful place. The museum is very nice & I learned a few things about the Apache tribe. The historical signifigance of this area should be honored by all Americans. Really great experience.

Great presentation in the Museum and the walk around Fort Apache was nice. Seems as some of the buildings are being worked on and some are still in use today.

I had a marvelous time there the whole time. We were treated so so nice. The staff was just great true professionals an asset to this establishment...Enjoyed everything we saw and everything that we learned was really awesome
