So we went to the Crystal Mall because we wanted to get Santa photos taken, which turned out amazing, but the mall itself is a little bit underwhelming. I had asked some local people from Mystic from around that area about this mall and they seem to have very fond memories of shopping here and it does seem like it used to be quite the epic center but as of right now there are only a handful of store still open. Both sets of escalators and elevator was shut down and it feels a little bit like a ghost town in there. Like I said, it definitely has the structure or foundation of a good mall, but the only stores that are still operating are a few large chains and a handful of mom and pop stores. I really do hope that they revitalize the space and start to get more cash flow so they can return to their former glory.

This place is so chaotic … I am a baker (kb sweet things) so we were at a event here and there was a guy who literally fought the security to stay in and for the next 12 mins all I heard was police sirens…I don’t think he ever left

Malls like this are dying as today's generation prefers online shopping. Plus it's difficult for retail stores to compete with Amazon. This mall will either be turned into offices or headquarters of a mega corporation. Another option would be a mall of restaurants offering all kinds of different food imaginable. Dining is something Amazon can't compete with.

Nice mall. Came here a while back and it was more vibrant and lively. Came today and it was pretty dead. There are still a few decent stores inside. It’s also nice to walk around and get exercise. While it doesn’t have so many options. I like the ease and simplicity of this mall. I also like how it doesn’t get packed or crowded. Maybe in the future it will get a renovation or upgrade.

This hurts, hurts so badly to see my childhood mall like this. Namdar Realty is letting it die, and doing nothing to help. Stores are closing left and right, the escalators and elevator do not work. This should be illegal to let a property like this be left to rot.

Please just close this place. A year ago, I saw some poor lady OD of an overdose. One sicko watching for the ramp was laughing, and it took 20 minutes for paramedics to get there. I think she died. I hate going here. All the stores are gone, except for 4 overprice ones, and a crummy yardsale that calls themselves an antique store.

Only a handful of stores left , 2 choices in the food court , as a Gen x kid I hung out here weekend on weekends, and as frequented for back to school clothes, gifts for holidays, birthdays, etc. It was a booming business, crazy to see it this way . Sad that retail crashed like this , lots of jobs were provided here too. ?

Almost no shops left open. 75% of the Mall is closed stores. Food court options are Chinese or Chinese. Current owner is killing the place. Good place to walk around for exercise.
