I want to complain about the Salvation Army being so rude about filling up water jugs. One of my jugs broke the other day on the way home so that shortened us on water. We go into the SA today and they blew us off. I went to the car as my back hurt my bf was there to fill the jugs and he over heard them say we should use a park. What park? They wouldn't even acknowledge Shaun. Seriously it's water it's free from a fawcet not everyone has access to clean drinkable water. Welp don't go there for help no more I guess.

I guess disabled should just die or something since it's too much effort. My bf would have filled & carried btw Sorry irked.

I went to the food bank 1 month ago and they said that I was there on the 24th. There's no way I could be there and in Pekin at the same time.

This Salvation Army Is a lifesaver to me. I am disabled and needed help to move. We were in a bad house that a friend of mine was renting.
The landlady wanted everyone out. She didn't want to fix anything. The house had bugs and the water heater didn't work so we had no hot water, it was cold well water. The electrical caught on fire 3 times. The roof leaked all over my bed when it rained. The furnace didn't work right. It was cold and the Ameren bills were $600 a month. I was paying the Ameren bills.
So Tas at. Salvation Army helped my daughter get an apartment. Tas arranged the paper work to be approved and they paid $4000 Ameren bill, $810 deposit and $500 first months rent. I would have not been able to come up with that amount of money. LOVE INC helped us get new furniture and kitchen items for the apartment. The apartment is subsidized so my rent is low each month. Im on social security so I cant pay much. The apartment is wonderful. We owe it all to Salvation Army. Thank you Tas, John at LOVE INC, the volunteers, Rose at reception area.
They also have a food pantry and a free meal every Thursday evening.
If anyone wants to donate to Salvation Army or LOVE INC. it would be a good charity to donate to. It helps people in need. Thank you again to everyone that helped. Elizabeth and Heidi
