Family was visiting from out of town, and they had never done an escape room before, so we decided to give it a try. We had a great time! We succeeded in making it out of Detention, and would definitely do an escape room again! There were 8 of us, and there was plenty for us to decipher.

We had a fantastic time at MJ’s! The puzzles were well thought out and really fun to figure out. My kids loved it and can’t wait to come back. The owner was incredibly nice and made us feel very welcome. We definitely recommend; you’ll have a great time!

We went to MJ's Escape Room with some family visiting from out of town. Mike at the front desk was a wonderful host and helped us complete our escape. I haven't done a ton of escape rooms, but the few I have seem to either be too tough or way too easy. This room (we did Escape Detention) was the perfect balance and had parts of the puzzle even our youngest members could help out with. Everyone in the family talked about how much fun they had. This is a real gem for Macomb and I am really hoping to see this local business be a long term success so we can visit new rooms as they switch them out. We even made the polaroid wall since we completed it - hooray!

We went with 7 people and did the Escape Detention. There was so much to do in the room that it kept all of us busy and on our toes. I would recommend starting off with the easier one and than moving to the hard one. The staff who helped us out, explained everything in very great detail and made sure we were taken care of before, during, and after the room. 100% suggest coming to this place if you have not been yet.

This was a highlight for our family get-together last weekend. Everyone in our group (ranging from age 8 to 50+) had a lot of fun -- and we'd definitely do it again. The staff was friendly and helpful and the puzzles were engaging. Really glad to see a business like this in Macomb.
