Really nice spot! The cottages are updated on the outside but not the inside. Kitchenette was small but serviceable. Only one stovetop worked, though. No wifi which was a bummer. Even though we spent most of the time outside, it would have been nice to have wifi and not run down data. Really beautiful spot, though - some nice trails through the woods, and the setting was just beautiful.

cabin 1....Stove not operable and hot plate provided, sink fixture loose....frig is tiny....but all else is great and views are great, new siding, polite staff, love the fire pit and back porch....and they got rid of raccoon population....we've come for a long time but will not pay 165-175 a night. sorry |Online pictures are accurate and we come for the lake view and close to water and having a campfire....it's so close to town....

It is such a peaceful and beautiful place. I've stayed here many times, and not once have I been dissatisfied with my stay. All of the staff have been super nice. This place is one of our favorites!

Our cabin was right on the lake and we were able to watch the sunrise while sipping a cup of coffee on the porch! It was beautiful!! The cabin was nice, but minimally furnished, as I would expect a cabin in the state park to be. The reason that I gave a five rating, besides the sunrise, was that the cleaning staff found a ring that we accidentally left behind. They called us shortly after we left and asked if the ring was ours. They said they would mail it to us and, sure enough, it arrived within the week. It was packaged carefully and shipped priority mail. In today’s world where so many people won’t go out of their way to help others, they went several extra steps to help us out! They are fantastic!

We stayed in Cabins #13 & #14. The Queen size bed in #14 could not be slept in. Not sure if it was the mattress or the mattress topper, it needs to be changed. The cabin itself was wonderful. Cabin #14 beds there were also uncomfortable. Plus the mini refrigerator had a smell. But overall the cabin was excellent. It was a wonderful experience with the wildlife that went thru and the beauty of nature.

As far as cabins go, this was perfect. I stayed at cabin #4 and the slight breeze off the lake made sitting on the back porch all day so comfortable-even in almost 90 degree weather! The beds are comfy. Everything is clean. Convenient to have a kitchenette area. It was a picturesque perfect way to detach and recharge-just wish I could’ve stayed longer! Saw tons of wildlife. It’s an absolutely beautiful way to connect to nature and I can’t wait to come back!

Great get away in the woods next to a lake try getting 1 2 3 or 4 all next to the lake. Has bbq grill and a fire ring. Cook food and hang out. Do some fishing or take the hicking trails or got kids? Go play on one of many parks around the land. Fun for all ages.

Lovely cottage, and very clean! Small kitchenette is very helpful, nice place to sit outside either on the patio or out by the fire ring overlooking the water. Great opportunity to birdwatch! Also the beds are very comfortable.

We've already booked next year's stay and are happy to return.

Constructive criticisms would be to have a grill for each unit rather than three shared grills for six duplex units, and to fix the ceiling light/fan so you can turn the light off and keep the fan running at night. But all in all a great place to stay!

Watch out for the trash pandas. 😅
