Great little library, super quiet and clean. I love McGee's cafe inside. The food is good and the prices are phenomenal. If you're in the area, stop by even if it's just for the cafe. It's worth it.

I’ve lived here my whole life. Went to this library my whole life. I stopped going around 2 years ago when there would be people talking openly loud. It’s not a quiet place to study at times. Here’s the real problem I have besides that. The library decides they are going to throw events/parties/get togethers that block Manistee and Marquette, to where you can’t even get down the street because there’s either people or cars blocking the street. Not to mention ESDA being randomly parked in the middle of the street, not even moving but just sitting there. It’s very unnatural to be hosting events/parties at a library. A library is supposed to be a quiet place to study, and I can’t even go there to do whatever it is I need to do. Years ago, I loved going to this library. I also live around the corner, so music plays very loud for hours. I’m shocked some of the neighbors aren’t disturbed by this. What makes this even worse and that you all decide to do this at a LIBRARY when there is an entire park with a huge field of grass, WHERE YOU CAN DO THAT AT. you invest all your money to turn the library into a party/event hang out when it does not even make sense and it is irritating. Use your brains. It’s very unnecessary and disturbing to some of us neighbors. I think I speak for the ones that also have the same problem as me. Just because everybody else seems to be enjoying it doesn’t mean the rest of us are. DO THESE EVENTS AT THE PARK. WHY THE LIBRARY? I stopped going because of this reason. Too much chaos.

It's a nice place to go. Only thing is sometimes the computers, etc don't work properly. I like going there, please bring back the paper hand towels.

Terry was so helpful. I didn't know how to upload my information to a city website and he assisted me. He was very patient and very, very helpful. I appreciate the staff, they're very nice and welcoming.

This used to be a good library. Now you have security making you sign in like a prison. The place feels cold and unwelcoming. Now there's a restaurant in the library. What about books? A welcoming environment for children to learn the joy of reading? This place was ruined by Thaddeus Jones.
