The service was amazing and the atmosphere was old school, but the pizza and calzone was not great.

Some of these reviews are way too harsh but what would you expect from pizza experts. I don’t live in Princeton I visit and I try to support mom and Pop pizza joints. I spend most of my money on pizza here. Not Chicago Tavern pizza but I haven’t found a better pizza in the Princeton area. I like their sauce slightly sweet. If they could figure out how to make the crust a bit crisper it wouldn’t hurt them. I prefer getting served by the younger waitstaff versus the lady that owns this place.

The pizza is good but watch out for the ingredients they use in thier pizza because objects may inadvertently get placed in your pizza. My grandson bit into a pepperoni pizza from pizza Cellar and pulled out a bread tie. The funny part is that the lady who took the call from our daughter in law about the bread tie in the pizza accused my daughter in law of placing the bread tie in the pizza herself to get her money back. My daughter in law didn't pay for the pizza. Johanna and I did because we have the greatest daughter in law, son, and grand kids in the world. Who make us proud grandparents. I am not surprised by the accusation from the pizza Cellar because this place supported the President of Citizens First National Bank and if you google it you can see how that all turned out.

I prefer to dine in here. I have not had a good delivery service. Granted I have not tried delivery in more than four years. My last pizza had no toppings from Vitale's delivery. Sauce and crust. Cheese and toppings were wadded up on the side of the box. This time it was dine in. Not crowded which was nice. Locals enjoyed the establishment next door prior to dining next to us, but luckily the noise level didn't get bad. Quant little corner pizza joint. I like this small town business. Great food! 😋

We ordered garlic cheese bread. When the waitress brought it out to our table. We noticed a horrible smell! The cheese was rotten. I told the waitress about it. She said she couldn't smell it. So I took it up to the window. The lady in the back took one smell. She told us sorry. We didn't go back for 3 months! So we decided to give it a try again. We sat down ordered our food. A large pizza and 2 glasses of water. We sat there for a hour and 15 minutes. I flagged down the waitress for a refill. Because our drinks had been empty for over a half hr! And asked how much longer on the pizza? She told us 3 to 4 min. I said OK. She comes back with our drinks 5 min later. Then she tells us it will be another 15 min on the pizza! We got up and walked out! Never again! Horrible service and the staff are very rude!

Best Italian Beef anywhere! And the pizza is the most unique and delicious around. Loaded with cheese and a crisp crust.
