You walk in, and it hits you... You've arrived! That place you've been searching for in a city riddled with local coffee shops... but half of them, it seems, serve the same coffee, so it's down to the aesthetics and the service.

This place has it all, everything I look for, in spades. Impeccably clean, comfortable, quaint, and inviting atmosphere set in an old brick building with just the right mix of local flare and old school vibes.

The coffee is sublime, and as a man who only drinks black coffee, I judge everything on this standard alone. I'm a connoisseur of all things coffee, 🍫, and community vibes.

Today's roast was brought to you by Wonderstate Coffee, a delightful roast called Flyaway! Dried cherry, Citrus, and a faint aftertaste of caramel. True to its label, this coffee hits the mark. 8/10. As i said, I don't impress easily, but this is unusually stellar coffee and much higher than I rate most.

Lastly, but not least, my service was stellar and prompt, and all my questions were answered. This is truly what a local coffee shop is supposed to be all about. Please give them a try, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

A 10/10 experience overall. There is nothing I could hold against them, for on this evening hour, it truly made my day to visit Studious Coffee.

I was searching for a coffee shop nearby and stumbled upon this hidden shop. Blue Island doesn’t seem like much, but this cozy coffee shop totally transformed my day.
It feels like there are a lot of locals who frequent this place. Supporting local businesses is always a great idea, right?
It’s definitely worth checking out!

LoFi DREL

Hands down one of the best coffee shops ever!! They use house made syrups for the lattes and the baked goods are always fresh. We need more coffee shops like this everywhere. Support independently owned coffee shops instead of Starbucks that rips customers off. Also check out the live shows they have here, you won't be disappointed. It's a great environment and the owners are cool. They have LoFi shows, open mics and several other events for the community to come enjoy! Much love to all!

Who said the great coffee shops are only in the north side of Chicago?! Ditch the big name coffee shops, if you can, and shop small business!

This place was not only unique and absolutely stunning inside and out, but the vanilla cappuccino was SO delicious. The blueberry muffin was tasty! I wish it was a tad bit sweeter, but combining it with the cappuccino was the move. They make their own flavored sweeteners. The vanilla one was just the perfect amount of vanilla flavor and sweetener. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity you are getting. The staff was super nice and informative. They sell cool merch, such as T-shirts. I’m so glad I found out about this hidden gem! 😍 I can’t wait to try more of their menu.

Came for coffee stayed for the adventure. I love these coffee shop vibes, very cozy, retro and friendly. Super hospitable here. Affordable and customizable drinks. Not busy. Some construction outside. Would love to come back!!

I’ve always followed Studious Coffee on social media & had tried to stop in before but the hours never worked out for me. Recently noticed the new hours & was so excited to try this place out.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful!
Iced ‘cafe de olla’ latte w/ almond milk is delicious & my fiancé had a hot coffee w/ nutty buddy syrup that they mentioned they make in house. Oh, and the bagels were really good.
It was really cozy and I can’t wait to be back!

First time in and asked the barista what the shop specializes in. She was super kind and I ended up with an absolutely amazing breakfast sandwich and latte. The shop is also very cozy, perfect for working. I appreciated how many walk-ins seemed to be regulars and the baristas knew their orders by heart. Can't wait to come back!
