Food tastes great. This was a welcome change from all the resort restaurants. Also frequented by locals who know excellent food. It also had vegetables, something we did not know we missed until we had it! We loved the dumplings, and the folks fought for the bacon. The bread pudding was excellent and the decorations were nice. However, what I was impressed with was the service. The people were extremely accommodating and worked everything on their end to make this a fantastic experience. The singing helped (my guess someone had a birthday.) Will come again.

This is our go to spot the second we land on Oahu!!! Chef Leanne and her team are exceptional! The GM Pat is always friendly and happy to see everyone as they come in.
The food is incredible. I always get the French toast for the table, hand sandwich for myself and usually one more special for the table. Lol. Wait staff is friendly and quick to bring out drinks and food.
If you want a truly special culinary experience you must eat here!

The menu was interesting so decided to give it a go during our trip to Oahu. We ordered the daily dumplings, Cornflakes French Toast, Don Buri Chen, best hash browns ever. Koko Moco and the breakfast bibimbap and it was good food, good service and a cute little place. The dumplings were my favorite as they were crispy on the outside and juicy and flavorful inside and the hash brown was my least favorite. It could have used more salt or some gruyère cheese or candied bacon to elevate it abit. Was just bland. Also it is on the pricier side plus we had to wait roughly 45 mins for a table for 4 and since many were waiting and they have limited seating we walked around the block.

Absolutely 10 out of 10 for all things. Especially the food but also the service!

We had a random Monday off work and decided to celebrate and try a place we hadn’t been to before.

Inside we were greeted with a smile by the hostess. She immediately brought us to our table and our server arrived soon after to tell us about the specials and take our drink order.

My husband and I ordered lattes and our son had the fresh guava juice- delicious!

For food we ordered the dumplings to start based on the recommendation of our server. Not what I was expecting since we’d come for brunch foods but we were blown away. They were crispy and flavorful. So good! We could have eaten two plates of those alone. Yum.

We came here because of breakfast food reviews so we wanted to try the things we’d read about. My husband ordered the Koko Moko, I ordered the Corn Flake French Toast, and our son had ricotta pancakes with fruit. We shared it all. Everything was delicious.

I think it’s worth mentioning how happy and helpful everyone who works here seemed to be. From the kitchen cheering to employees genuinely working together to clear and set tables and chatting amongst each other, we never once had a dirty old plate sitting on our table. You could tell Koko Head Cafe is a special place where people enjoy working. No complaints about the 5% kitchen fee from us. It’s 100% worth it if that’s the result.

Parking is paid but inexpensive in a safe, easy to locate, private lot right next to the restaurant. We paid a little over $2 total to park. (Parking machine takes card.)

On our way out a man outside who had no interaction with us saw us leaving and thanked us for coming. We left feeling genuinely appreciated. I’m looking forward to bringing my aunt and uncle here when they visit in a few weeks.

Echoing other recent reviews - 10/10 for all of the things. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I had the katsu sliders, my wife had an omelette and both were delicious.

The staff is awesome as well, and it really seems like they're enjoying the work. You can tell they're having fun.

Tip the kitchen for a nice loud surprise!

Can't wait to come back!

Unfortunately my party of five was very underwhelmed by our early morning breakfast here. I know it's wildly popular and often has a long line out the door, and none of us had gone before, so we didn't expect this. I'll start by saying there was no wait at 7:30am, our server was great, and it's cozy and tidy inside! But the food was a letdown.
I often find the risk with Asian fusion brunch is that the portions are small, the price is high, and I often find it a downgrade from the original inspiration, and unfortunately that was the case today. The weekly special adobo tempura fried chicken comes out in a pretty tiny skillet, and all the skillets ate generally $25-$32 a pop depending on market prices. The flavors were not as strong as classic adobo and I only spotted two small pieces of chicken. The garlic rice was deliciously crispy from the cast iron though!
The Illy cappuccino I got was $5 and was absolutely a hotel lobby single-press button machine coffee, which was crazy for the price. The rest of my party did not enjoy their food for the prices either- breakfast congee looked gorgeous but ended up also somehow being quite bland despite all the bacon bits and umami looking toppings. The fresh fruit juices were tasty for $8 but you don't get a big glass either. Dunno! Felt like misses all around, and I don't think I'd try again for how much we ended up paying, but I can appreciate that they're trying to highlight local brands like Hispice and source locally. Doesn't alleviate unsatisfying expensive food though.

Was here for brunch while on vacation in Oahu - came recommended by a local. Helmed by a celebrity chef, the menu is Hawaiian/fusion and the food pretty good. Definitely looks much better than it looks, we particularly like the crispiness of the burnt rice. We had the bibimbab, Koko loco, among other. Parking is easy and the area has a number of other bakeries, drink shops and restaurants.
