Stopped by on our way home to grab some lunch and OMG! Hubby had the fish n chips and I went for the prime rib dip sandwich ? We don’t go out much anymore since prices went up and service/food/portions have down hill but wow! Portions are decent but the quality of the food is a toe curler. Order the dip!

When we are traveling, we are always for the places that the locals are eating and drinking at and we found it at The Korner Pocket Sports Bar & Grill! We were looking for a place with a great burger and the Korner Pocket looked good and we gave it a try and are glad that we did! Everyone was very nice and friendly and the service was great! Cold beers and a great burger and that’s just what we were looking for! We’re going to stop in once again on our visit to Kona and are looking forward to some more great food and atmosphere!!!!

We were sooo excited to see that Joel is the new manager. Food is amazing. Come for the prime rib for sure. If you’re lucky enough you will get Kristen who takes care of your every need.

This place is a cross between a classic sports bar and a New Jersey diner.

10 screens spread out throughout, all with live games & coverage. Jukebox music (reggae during my visit). Well stocked bar, good beer choices on tap.

Wait staff is EXCEPTIONAL. I walked in at noon with a 30 min time limit, my order was placed within 60 secs of entering. When I explained my limit, my waitresses said "I got this, no problem!" And she did!! Very impressive. It is now 12:25, my beer is down to the last sip and my French dip + fries are in my belly as I type.

A very fine sport bar with great dining options.

The highlight today was the fish taco. 3.5 a piece is a bit pricy but the taste is fabulous.

The burger was very luxuriously made and its price very reasonable.

The onion soup too salty.

The shrimp scampi is a bit too dry and lacks some flavors.

The cocktail is normal, not too impressed.

On second visit
We tried the prime rib and Taco Tuesday.

The 2 dollars taco is a true joy! It is delicious as usual and no longer pricey.

I cannot honestly recommend the prime rib. It is not impressive at all. But you're mostly paying for the meat anyway.

My wife and I make it an absolute stop when on the big island. People there were awesome, and the vibe was great with some great local singers on the karaoke machine. We love the staff and atmosphere here. Try there beef stroganoff! My German grandma couldn't even make it this good. Please dismiss the negative reviews. This place is full of aloha, and I feel lucky to have found it! Can't wait to go back. Thanks Korner Pocket!

They improved the patio with bamboo fencing. It cuts off the cool breezes. It makes for a more comfortable dining outside at night. Great happy hour Mai Tais! The bacon half pound cheddar cheese burger with fries was more than enough for the two of us!

It was a wonderful delicious meal. I had the special Thursday pork chop dinner for less than $20. It was a rainy evening and we sat inside. People were watching sports and playing pool and enjoying their meals. For my wife, she enjoyed the large burger, but doesn't enjoy the restaurant noise. The restaurant is south of the town of Kailua-Kona. Check out the specials for the day and save money while doing it!
