This was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Ryan was incredibly kind and made check-in a breeze. The property was stunning—peaceful and full of charm. Feeding ducks by hand was a first for me, and we loved making fresh-squeezed orange juice every morning. Though we didn’t plan to return to Hawaii soon, this place might bring us back sooner than expected. The room was spacious and comfortable, with clean, high-quality linens. The shared bathroom was well-maintained, and we enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and shower. While some reviews mentioned the lack of locked doors, we didn’t mind—it felt very safe and inviting. We had a packed itinerary but ended up clearing our mornings just to relax and enjoy the space. Thank you, Ryan, for an unforgettable stay—we hope to visit again soon!

Hamakua Sanctuary is nothing short of amazing! Whether it’s the amazing people you meet there, the peace and serenity, spectacular land and gardens, or the wondrous rooms and structures, every aspect of the sanctuary is artistic, soulful and nourishing. This is my absolute favorite spot on the island to escape to when I am feeling like I need to recharge and rest and heal, or to have a playful fun adventure. All of which I get in abundance every single time I visit! Thank you so much for such a true sanctuary in this world.

My four nights at Hamakua Sanctuary were amazing (albeit too short). This place is truly a beautiful and welcoming haven. The host has done something incredible here—it’s the perfect escape for the mind and body. What struck me was the blend of community and privacy. You can share meals and moments with others if you want or take time for yourself and do your own thing. There’s no pressure just a gentle invitation to make the experience whatever you need it to be.

The accommodation is thoughtfully designed, with comfortable rooms, bathroom (and that outdoor shower!), and these zen areas where you can read, journal, or just sit and enjoy the garden views rain or shine.

I left feeling good and grateful for the experience. I can’t wait to go back!

This place truly is a sanctuary. This was our accommodation for a couple days and the property itself was an experience on our trip! Be sure to spend some time wandering the gorgeous property, smell the flowers and feed the ducks. There is beautiful sunlight all through the home, the bed was soft, we felt well rested and relaxed. be sure to also check out the meditation room! Ryan was a wonderful host and graciously took us on a meditation journey, and has great recommendations!

We highly recommend staying here - it is not only a wonderful place to stay but also an experience in itself!

Ryan, your hospitality, your kindness and home is magical. Such a restorative stay from mornings on the lanai, to the meditation room, chatting the with staff and those nightly viewings of stars. The room was perfect, the softness of sheets and the cozy bed. The books in the library was able to enjoy one and we prepared dinner and breakfast. This is a must stay and totally an amazing experience.

This place is paradise for anyone who loves to be surrounded by nature and be with nature and be in a farm with fruit trees and really old trees. I did a lot of tree hugging while there for sure. A place to support healing.||The owners are amazing hosts. I love the outdoor kitchen, the dedicated meditation room separated from other buildings in the property. Tons of space to walk around and be by yourself with nature. There’s farmers market close by and about 40 minute drive to a beach… Honokaa has micro ecosystem so it may be raining at the hostel but 40 minutes but sunny at the beach…||I loved being able to stargaze and watched full moon during my stay, even listening to rain, it was magical. It brings me back to my childhood. I’ll be back for sure…

We had an unforgettable stay at Mana Loli! The moment we arrived, we were greeted by Ryan and two friendly dogs, who showed us around the beautiful, serene garden filled with fruits and flowering trees. He kindly shared some juicy sweet-tart cherries fresh from the tree, and showed us how to feed the adorable waddling ducks - they were so cute and happy!||The space itself is perfect for unwinding and finding peace. The spacious lanai became our favorite spot for enjoying morning tea and a good book. Watching the mist roll in over the lush garden is so relaxing. The shared kitchen was thoughtfully furnished and had everything we needed for making tasty fresh meals. One morning Ryan asked if we wanted to make some sourdough banana pancakes, and we ended up having a fun impromptu cooking morning with the other guests.||Staying here was the highlight of our trip, and we left feeling completely relaxed and inspired. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a tranquil, enriching Hawaiian getaway.

I had a wonderful time at Mana Loli Sanctuary. I was falling apart when I arrived. Stressed, overworked, and haggard! Through my time at Mana Loli I was able to slow down mentally and relax. It's a beautiful house and grounds with a feeling of tropical luxury. As a female I felt very safe here, and safe with the owners Ryan and Yasmin. I really loved the outdoor kitchen and the cozy bedding. Everything was super clean! I can't wait to come back. My getaway to Mana oli settled my heart and mind. Repaired my beauty. Returned my stress to normal levels, and helped me tune into the voice of my soul with ease. Thank you!
