Service was great, however food was just ok. My steak was fatty and tough. Vegetables had way too much black pepper. Shrimp tempura roll was flavorless and chewy.

I suggested this restaurant for a friend’s birthday and am horrified that I did. Our waitress wasn’t able to understand us when we ordered. Once we ordered and the waitress was serving our salad her long hair kept falling into the salads and soups when she delivered those. She also either turned off the cook too or didn’t turn it on like she was supposed to so when the chef was ready to cook he had to go to another table because ours wasn’t hot enough to cook the food. This made our party wait even longer to eat. Our chef finally got to our table and burned our food. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had here. I do not recommend.

So overall this was an decent hibachi place to choose as our impromptu dinner.
The wait was long, but they were kind of busy. The hibachi chef we had for our group was fumbling a lot and it wasn't super exciting unfortunately. Everyone thought food was great but a tad salty to some of us, and my brother's food came out kind of late.
The beer was cold tho ? and the leftovers tasted pretty great once reheated! I will also note that their bathrooms were quite nice and clean ✨

P.S. thanks for letting my mom charge her phone while we waited for a table~

The shorter older gentleman who we had the displeasure of having as our server was incredibly rude. Started by tossing our straws, salads and soups at us sloppily enough to spill them all over the counter and onto the birthday girls dress. When she went to order she asked a question about how all of us would order if we were all getting hibachi, he proceeded to yell at our group "are you ready or do you need a minute?" And then walked away from the table for over ten minutes. Comes back and barked at each of us to ask us what we wanted. The two people who wanted menu items were told "no that's from the kitchen". I struggled with what we had done to upset him? Maybe that some of our group was late? So were the table next to us? We had a birthday too but no singing or drums for our table as we saw them do for the group before us. It really makes me wonder if we were treated like this because our group was predominantly black people? No refills for anyone's drinks or napkins we asked for to clean the miso soup he sloshed onto the table. I just can't get past the fact that he yelled at our group then the restaurant charged 18% gratuity.....for each of our tabs. We all in all paid well over 700$ for the rudest service I've ever witnessed at a restaurant. The actual cook was very nice and the train noise he made when he did the fire truck on the griddle was super funny.

I ordered chicken fried rice. I got rice with tiny bits of chicken. I think there might have been egg in it but thats it. Nothing else. The rice was terrible. I could crunch the salt between my teeth. I should have known when I walked in and nobody was there eating. Will never come back.

Ichiban is the best Japanise restaurant in the area. I don't know ow why they only have 3 stars. Everything is so fresh, they don't give tiny portions, the service and atmosphere is amazing.
