My wife and I were looking for a place to get coffee after seeing a show in JAX. A high bar considering it was 1030pm. Kafe Kava popped up in our search and was surprised. It was perfect. Nice local, quiet, hip, and friendly spot with great cappuccino. They have ice cream, and other things too. Set in an old house converted to a coffee shop, we really felt comfortable. Granted it was a younger crowd and we are older, but we felt very relaxed and it was a perfect topper to the night. Thank you. Will be back and recommend. We just loved sitting in the back room sipping that goodness.

Really cute location and the German Shepherd was an amazing discovery. He was quite short staffed and the layout is not very conducive to being able to welcome/assist new patrons, leaving us to wonder if anyone worked there/if they were coming back for some time. Can’t say that the individual was very welcoming either but being short staffed and busy, I can understand the individual being flustered.

I did find it weird that it was not a full cup of dark Kratom because I asked for no ice since it was still quite expensive for a tea that costs nearly negligible amount to brew. Another 2 oz wouldn’t have broken the bank and would have had another star on the review and a more satisfying customer.

I visited this coffee shop tonight, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. My mom asked if my dad could use the bathroom while she was in line to order, the man assisting with the orders was rude and said she had had to actively take her order and her pay in order for my father to use the bathroom since he (the worker) was being watched by the camera and being recorded and would get in trouble. After ordering a drink, my sister also wanted to use the bathroom which the guy proceed to say it was only one person per customer keep in mind we were a group of 5 people. I understand some places may have policies, but when you’re paying for a service, it seems unreasonable to deny such a basic need. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome, and it certainly soured my visit.

Straight Garage!!!!!! They wouldn’t let my girlfriend and I use the bathroom they said you had to buy something first because if not they would get into trouble like seriously Good way to drive away customers and future customers!!! I will never buy anything from here just because of that fact!!

Definitely a very ... unique experience. Ordered Kratom Tea - the server got it out of a bucket behind the bar, it was very gritty & hardly mixed. Also ordered a cappuccino - the server told us it would be a few minutes for the milk to warm up, okay no problem. Server then disappeared for several minutes... it honestly seemed like he left the building and bought coffee from another shop and brought it back.

Kafe Kava is easily the chillest non alcohol bar in St Augustine. Great menu of herbal drinks, smoothies, fruit bowls, and more. You can get your choice of vibe in any of 3 rooms for a lowkey house party/lounge type experience. It has an L.A. vibe, but right here in St Augustine!

It also doubles as a cool little coffee shop all day and night. Locals and tourists come here to relax and detox from the bars and escape the drama.

The employees are super friendly and knowledgeable, The owner explained the ins and outs of kava while showing me his other herbal drinks. They were all tasty and uplifting!

They're also planning events starting in July. They'll host a nightly gig such as karaoke, open mic, comedy, movies, even an astrology event! Definitely recommend this one if you get the chance.
