Drove down from Ocala with a friend who has been here a few times. Having only played indoors once before I have very little to compare to. However, I had a great time and would come back again. There are 6 courts, comprising of a Challenge Court (court 6) with court 1 being utilized for lessons. The other courts are divided up by level. There is a paddle rack system and the staff keep the paddles and rotations on and off the courts moving in a timely manner.

The folks I played with were super friendly. I felt that the cost for 3 hours of Open play was very reasonable. If you are like me and play outside, it will take a few games to get adjusted to the lights/glare and ball bounce. Once you are dialed in, you're golden.

The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the AC. The Florida heat is just brutal. I can't imagine what the power bill is like here cause I am sure they keep the AC and fans cranking but, it was still a bit warm and stuffy inside. It is way better than playing outside in the blazing sun and humidity though. It's not a such a huge negative that would prevent me from coming back.

Me and my family had been wanted to learn a new sport, we chose pickle ball and made a beginners lesson appointment. Our instructors were Gemma and Erin. They made us feel very comfortable and confident that we could do it, they calmly explained how we play and what you should do, while it took us a minute to get it figured out when we did we had a blast!! We had so much fun and definitely will be back.

This is honest and friendly feedback and suggestions with the hopes of being helpful to TBP!!!!
Camp was not that good overall. The instructor has great PB talent/ skill & very likable but hard to understand at times....but not so good in his ability to teach in a group setting. He did not create a solid outline nor even follow an outline. He did not seem to know how to handle multiple students well with skill levels. (Just a thought ....perhaps requiring customers to play a minimum of three duper score nights to get a closer DUPR rating BEFORE THEY CAN SIGN UP for a mid level player class would be good. It would be acceptable to customers if PROPER benefits and EXPECTATIONS related in advance on the COURSE DESCRIPTION. Doing that would be to the customer's advantage. It may help get the right level students in the right camp at the same time... Or at least help it a little bit).

Many students complained of not getting much attention on some days, while others got too much attention. (Should use a minute bell timer if you're going to rotate people on a separate court one on one. The instructor can't possibly watch a clock for 5min and teach it the same time). Some people were getting 5 minutes some people were getting 12 minutes. It wasn't good. )
The instructor also said he say he would do assessments on the students.... for the amount of money you spend, seems we should be getting a personalized assessment on your skill level and what can be improved. But you don't get either--- although it appeared like an individualized assessment was being created with the note taking done on session one. But there was never any direct one-on-one feedback given. There was one piece of feedback given to the entire group and that was not very valuable..it was we all need to improve drops. With that many people we weren't getting a lot of drops drilling practice. Some students were not good enough to even do a drop. It was frustrating.Overall the camp was disappointing for the price for all of us as we (students) discussed privately.

Camp sessions are too short for 6 people because the people leading them can't handle the size of the crowd (6) as it was. Should run a min of 1.5hrs per session. IMO. (I'm sure it will get better over time... but not in the near term. )

Also they should require for each camp, that customers agree to complete a blind written survey (no names gathered on the feedback ) at the end of each camp. It's a great business practice.

Nobody can teach the Teacher better than the students as to what students need , liked/disliked , or found most helpful. And surveys are a great way to refine your process. I wish they would incorporate blind surveys and make it mandatory as part of completing a camp training.

It's a shame because I really like the instructor personally ...but as far as teaching, can't say it was a worthwhile expense. I didn't walk away with one refined skill I walked away with some knowledge but not any new info that I didn't already glean from watching YouTube training video. I don't think one area of my game got better. Even if I improved just one skill (like drops) I would have felt like it was worth the $250 bucks ., but unfortunately I didn't.

I've taken golf lessons before. The golf pro had us driving balls 10x better, putting better, improved my swing, and I understood strategy better within 5 sessions. That is my point of reference --- so it seems reasonable to expect some measurable result in a month long pickleball camp.
Really hope TBP gets it figured out...they are really nice peeps, very well intentioned, so the place has tons of great potential!

I went a couple weekends back. As an out-of-towner, it can be hard to find good games.
There were REALLY good players at this facility on Saturday night and Sunday morning. I had one minor issue, and it was resolved quickly by the owner.
If you want a good test of your skills, check this place out.

Liked the clean facility and atmosphere during the Round Robin Waterfall 3/24/24. I’m looking forward to playing in the upcoming anniversary Tournaments @ Tampa Bay Pickleball on a 2 day weekend in April. Good location , near The Downs , will visit and play there as much as possible.

A great place to go, rain or shine, to enjoy your games and meet new people. Pay attention to the times for levels and you will not regret it. Great staff, greater coaches (that's Angelo on the left). They will only grow from here. Me being from CT, this was a great find. Even with many outdoor options, it's still good to have a place to play, literally all day.
