The Way Martial Arts is a super welcoming BJJ community. Our son has been coming here since March and loves the coaches. Professor Korey is very knowledgeable and makes sure his students understand everything they are learning. Coach Tial is an amazing kickboxing coach as well. He really breaks down movements in really simple ways and points things out that make so much sense. The facility is very clean and inviting, there is a big sense of community.

What an amazing modern gym! One of the best pristine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu facilities I’ve ever seen. Learning from the best Professors Herbert Burns, Joe Cianciotto and Korey Maguire. It feels like home and a family each time I walk in. The vibes and positive energy they have created is so welcoming and loving. I am so glad I joined. Their teaching and techniques are on another level of professionalism and friendliness. They make you feel confident and comfortable. And it’s a lot of fun!!!

Excellent instructors and methodology for the children! Aside from quality martial arts, the founder and his team go above and beyond to make sure the students get the most out of the experience and parents feel supported. Our whole family is really happy with the experience we’ve had with this dojo and we look forward to seeing our 5 y/o continue to build his skills.

I’m saddened to have to make this review. I'm a single mom with two boys attending this gym for more than a year. We had such high hopes with this place, and it all began well.

With time, I noticed that the classes were becoming incredibly overcrowded with in excess of 35 kids per class and only 1-3 coaches. Kids are now only getting one 2-minute sparring match-up per 1 hour class. They continue to drill the same three basic moves for the last 6 months because they are adding so many students. Classes are not broken up into age groups like most dojos. Here, everyone from 3 to 13 is packed into the same class.

At first, dealing with Professor Joe was a pleasure. He seemed nice and kind at the beginning. However, that warm demeanor quickly faded. Then, one day, I brought my kids to class, and I had my well-trained 6-pound hypoallergenic service dog with me. Joe approached me in a very rude and aggressive manner in front of the kids and many other parents. With a very hostile tone and intimidating posture, he told me that I needed to leave immediately and never come back with a dog again, even though he is a legitimate service dog, protected by the ADA. He went as far as to even threaten to cancel the next competition class for everyone if I showed up with my service dog again. He then stepped right into my face and asked me if I had a problem with his decision, and if so, we could leave right now and not come back! I felt very uncomfortable with his new attitude going forward, and I had to miss a lot of my children’s classes because I felt uncomfortable around him. I don’t understand why he’s been so erratic and hostile to everyone over the last few months.

On top of it, although the place does not look too dirty when you come in, we are constantly seeing cockroaches on and off the mats. We were told that it's due to infestations in adjoining businesses.

Ultimately, it was all of this that led us to find a new BJJ instructor.

I would like to point out that we were all very fond of Professor Corey (instructor), and our decision to leave was in spite of our affection and appreciation for him. We would have followed him to another place.

Great place to train BJJ and kickboxing. Classes are led by either currently active UFC fighters or highly capable black belts trained by them. This gym is very welcoming to all skill levels and ages, and not intimidating at all. There are several pricing options and I never felt any pressure of upselling, nor have I seen any hidden costs. It's nice to be able to train in both BJJ and kickboxing with one all inclusive price. Facilities are very clean and organized. with showers, lockers, and dressing rooms. Everyone here exemplifies respect . . . I've encountered zero ego from either instructors or other students. Highly recommended!

This place is incredible! From the moment I called, Professor Joe informed me of the class schedule, went over the Professors, invited me for a free trial class and assured me that I would love it! It was my first time taking a BJJ class and everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly! Professor Herbert was mindful of it being my first time and demonstrated movements on multiple occasions upon request. Him and Professor Joe assisted me during the entire class and were both very involved. My partner Jennifer was excellent! She was assuring me along the way through class and inspired confidence with such a friendly and positive attitude. All of the other students were respectful and welcoming and overall the energy of the class was amazing! I had so much fun but also felt as if I learned a ton of knowledge & terminology my first time. The space is spotless in terms of cleanliness, there are lockers, changing rooms, etc and the environment is like a family. Everyone was so friendly and I can’t wait to be back for another class. If you’re thinking about learning the art of BJJ from incredible professionals with decades of experience and alongside wonderful people this is the place! I will recommend The Way Martial Arts to everyone!

From my first point of contact to actually enrolling my almost four-year-old daughter, our experience here has been unmatched. Professor Joe is possibly one of the most caring and considerate human beings I've ever encountered. When you walk into a place and feel the positive energy radiating you know your child will gain more than what you're paying for. I'm looking forward to watching my daughter grow in this space.

Love this place! I was looking for a good place for my son. This is the place Relaxed environment, knowledgeable coaches, fun place to be. I appreciate a gym where you can be challenged without feeling like you’re always in competition. They are big on proper form and mobility which is a must to stay injury free and continue to develop your athletic skill set. Can’t recommend this place enough!”
