The governance of Miami Gardens parks & recreation is very confusing to understand when it comes to how they enforce their so-called "rules."
Many illegal activities take place within this park, right in front of children, (involving drugs, alcohol, violence, littering, substance abuse, etc,) but the park rangers never chase away those people contributing to illicit activities.
But let a man try to exercise on some grass (that tax payers pay for) and their park rangers will most likely chase him away and even call the MG police to sit in the parking lot and wait for him to leave.
Their rangers will lie and say that the field is closed because of grass treatment.
We actually live in this community, those fields are not being sprayed daily, so it should not remain closed all the time.
If the field isn't safe for adults to exercise, how is it safe for the children to use?
We can understand that while the youth sports teams are using the fields, adults should yield for the benefit of the youth programs, but at some point adults need their time to enjoy it too.
We can also understand restricting particular usage of MG facilities but not barring all usage.
Be fair, Miami Gardens parks & recreation!!!
